Title: Event Production Intern

Job Summary: The Special Events Intern is responsible for assisting in the organization, execution, and production elements of Sacramento Kings and Golden 1 Center-related events, both in-arena and at off-site locations as directed by the Sr. Event Production Manager.
Key Responsibility Areas:
- Work with Kings event team to assist with the organization of events and support event managers with event prep, production, and breakdown
- Administrative lead on finance POβs, inventory, cataloging, storing of all event equipment and team assets
- Provide support with special projects, vendor research and RFP submittals
- Assist in the maintenance of all appropriate records and relationships with vendors
- Be accountable for on time deliverables of expected projects and events
- Performs all other related duties and responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications:
- An interest in gaining professional experience in special event planning/management in a stadium, arena, hotel, convention center or public assembly facility setting.
- Can do attitude; ability to be on-time consistently and meet strict deadlines
- Excellent computer skills including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Willingness and ability to pitch in (in any capacity) to ensure event success as well as success of the company
- Excellent time-management, problem-prevention, and problem-solving skills.
- Capable of working flexible hours such as nights and weekends as needed.
To qualify for Kings University internships, you must be:
- Currently enrolled in college or have graduated within 12 months
- Able to commute to the downtown Sacramento office
- Able to work 25 hours per week
Interns will be compensated $17.50 per hour and receive benefits such as California Paid Sick Leave, discounts on Sacramento Kings merchandise, and free parking.
