Sports Information Graduate Assistant

The Graduate Assistant reports to the Assistant Director of Athletics for Sports Communication. Duties include:

• Create game programs and promotional items for the University’s Athletics Program.
• Coordinate and deploy social media and webpage as effective marketing strategies for the Athletics Program.
• Assist in all aspects of the Sports Information department, including writing press releases, feature stories, photos, videos (shooting, editing, and production).
• Assist with responsibilities related to game day, including maintaining statistics.

• Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor’s degree is required.
• Acceptance into a post-bachelors academic program at Shepherd University, as well as full-time course registration (9 credit hours) into the same program of study is also required.
• Must pass satisfactory background check.
• Must be enrolled/registered for Fall 2026.
• Must be making Satisfactory Academic Progress.

• Prior athletic officiating, score keeping or announcing experience desired.
• CPR, First Aid, AEDCertified.
