The University of the Cumberlands located in Williamsburg, Ky., is currently seeking an individual for the position of Graduate Assistant. Cumberlands, a member of the Mid-South Conference and the NAIA, sponsors 30 sports and has 800 student-athletes participating in the various programs. The graduate assistant will assist the SI department with coverage of 27 NAIA varsity sports. This individual will be responsible for comprehensive web site management, which includes feature stories, event previews, game stories, scores, statistics, rosters, schedules and archival program information including photo archives. In addition, the candidate will assist with social media, video production and editing, and special events. The graduate assistant will be required to work many of the hours associate with the sports information profession, including nights and weekends. Additionally, the GA will serve as the main contact and secondary contact for specific sports as assigned by the Sports Information Director.
The candidate must have their undergraduate degree and must be admitted to the UC Graduate Program.
Experience with Adobe Photoshop, Adobe InDesign, Final Cut, and Adobe Premier are preferred. Preference will be given to those with experience with live streaming and with video editing experience. Graphic design experience is also preferred.Β Previous experience in sports information office is a plus.
Position includes a tuition waiver (for specific programs) and stipend.
