Overview

The Kansas City Diamonds are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Spring 2027 Ticket Sales Intern to join our team from January - May. This hands-on internship offers a unique opportunity to gain valuable experience in sports ticket sales, customer relations, and revenue generation within a professional sports organization. The intern will play a key role in supporting our sales efforts, engaging with fans, and contributing to the team's success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Ticket Sales Manager and sales team with daily sales activities, including outbound calls, emails, and presentations to potential clients.
  • Support the promotion and sale of various ticket packages, including season tickets, group tickets, and premium experiences.
  • Conduct research to identify new sales leads and potential group opportunities within the community.
  • Learn and utilize the team's Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system for tracking sales activities and managing client accounts.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to current and prospective ticket holders, addressing inquiries and resolving issues.
  • Help create and prepare sales materials, presentations, and proposals.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a relevant program (e.g., Sports Management, Marketing, Business Administration, Communications).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a professional and persuasive demeanor.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and comfort with outbound communication.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • A strong interest in sports business, sales, and building client relationships.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends for events as needed.

Compensation

This is an unpaid internship, offering valuable hands-on experience and professional development within the sports industry. College credit may be available depending on your institution's requirements.
