Danville OtterbotsInternship Summary: The Danville Baseball Club is home to one of Virginia's most exciting summer baseball brands: the Danville Otterbots (proud members of the Appalachian League powered by Major League Baseball and USA Baseball). Located in Danville, Virginia, the organization's mission is to provide unforgettable, community-driven entertainment while delivering the highest standard of fan experience. The Stadium Operations Intern will oversee ballpark operations and the overall flow of game days, from setup through teardown.
Internship Goals:
- Learn the day-to-day business functions and operational demands of running a small-market sports venue.
- Gain hands-on experience managing the flow and logistics of a live game day.
- Develop experience supporting sponsorship activation throughout the ballpark.
- Exposure to leadership responsibilities in:
- Ballpark Operations & Game Day Flow
- Sponsorship Activation
- Facility Setup & Teardown
Internship Requirements:
- Full-time summer internship from Mid-May to the beginning of August.
- Must be working towards a Bachelor's degree in sports management, facility management, business, or a related field.
- Must be able to work all events and game days.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Ability to perform physical tasks associated with stadium setup and maintenance.
