Summary
The Normal CornBelters (NCB), a summer wood-bat collegiate baseball team, are members of the Prospect League. The CornBelters are operated by Normal CornBelters Baseball, LLC. The Normal CornBelters/Corn Crib staff is seeking Broadcasting Interns to join their team for the upcoming 2027 season.
Internship Dates
Start = Tuesday, May 18th
End = Sunday, August 1st
Broadcasting Internship Roles
- Play by Play/Color Commentary - serving as the on-air talent for a live-streamed video broadcast of each CornBelters home game through the Prospect League Network livestream (PLN), via Hometeam Network
- Journalism - writing thoughtful team content for digital platforms, including the team website
Duties and Responsibilities
- Preparing rosters and game notes prior for all home games
- Operating the production of a live-stream video broadcast during each CornBelters and home game
- Providing play-by-play and color commentary for PLN broadcasts
- Producing feature stories, game recaps, articles, and op-ed pieces that can be featured online
- Interacting with other Normal CornBelters departments to provide a cooperative, fan-oriented focus for all games
- Aide in set up and breakdown of stadium operations
Competencies and Qualifications
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, detail-oriented, strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Excellent organizational skills
- Thoroughly knowledgeable about the game of baseball
- Self-starter who is motivated to build new programs and exceed expectations

Compensation
- This is an unpaid position. All internships are eligible for college credit opportunities via your institution’s academic requirements.
