Position Summary: Chicago Sports Network (CHSN) is the television home for the Chicago White Sox, Chicago Bulls, and Chicago Blackhawks. The network delivers live games, studio programming, and original content while providing fans with comprehensive coverage of Chicago’s professional sports teams across broadcast, digital, and social platforms.
CHSN is seeking a Communications & Digital Media Intern to support the network’s communications and digital initiatives during the summer term. The intern will assist with content development, media relations, communications coordination, and digital platform support.

Key Responsibilities: In support of the CHSN communications and digital teams, the intern will:
·       Draft and edit communications materials, including press releases, media alerts, and internal updates
·       Maintain and update media contact lists and distribution groups
·       Prepare press materials and communications updates related to CHSN programming and talent
·       Monitor sports and media coverage and compile daily or weekly media reports
·       Prepare and schedule social media content and monitor activity across CHSN platforms
·       Track and organize social media and digital assets and performance data
·       Attend in-person events and network activations, including select Chicago White Sox games and other CHSN-related events, to support communications and digital coverage
·       Prepare materials for industry award submissions, including gathering assets and organizing entry requirements
·       Provide administrative and project coordination support for communications and digital initiatives

Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications
·       Currently enrolled as a junior or senior in an accredited undergraduate program
·       Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Broadcasting, Journalism, Communications, Media Studies, Digital Media, Sports Management, Marketing, or a related field.
·       Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
·       Strong written and verbal communication skills
·       Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
·       Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
·       Demonstrated interest in the field through coursework, extracurriculars, or previous experience
Preferred Qualifications
·       Prior internship or volunteer experience
·       Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
·       Problem‑solving and critical‑thinking skills
·       Ability to commit to a full‑time, 8–10 week summer program
·       Enthusiasm for learning and professional development
