Athletx Sports Group is seeking a dedicated and organized Team Support & Event Operations Intern to join our team for the Summer 2026 season. This in-office role, based in Louisville, KY, is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in sports event operations and customer communication. 

The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our event operations team by communicating directly with coaches and team administrators, ensuring all registration requirements are completed, and assisting with the preparation and execution of events taking place nationwide.

Key Responsibilities
  • Communicate promptly and professionally with team administrators, coaches, and families regarding registration requirements, including rosters, waivers, insurance, and unpaid invoices
  • Monitor and respond to customer inquiries via email and text platforms, ensuring timely, accurate, and helpful communication
  • Track team progress toward completing required registration steps and follow up as needed to ensure compliance
  • Assist in organizing and preparing event materials and logistics, including loading and staging event equipment
  • Help coordinate and organize merchandise pre-orders and inventory
  • Support internal operations by maintaining accurate records and assisting with event readiness tracking
  • Provide general administrative and operational support during peak event periods

Qualifications
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally via email and messaging platforms
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team-oriented environment
  • Exceptional reliability, attendance, and punctuality
  • Strong attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to communicate clearly under pressure
  • High level of professionalism in all internal and external interactions
  • Ability to follow direction, receive feedback, and demonstrate self-motivation
  • Proactive mindset with the ability to identify issues and take initiative
  • Interest in sports, event operations, or related fields is a plus
Compensation: $13/hour
This is an in-office position in Louisville, KY. We are looking for a candidate who can commit to approximately 20 hours per week, 3–4 weekdays, from May 2026 through early August 2026.
