Video Production Internship

The Amarillo Sod Poodles are seeking a candidate who desires to have a career in sports video production. The candidate will learn all aspects of sports video production from one of the most creative and aggressive brands in Minor League Baseball. The candidate will assist the video and marketing teams in daily operations, with an emphasis on ballpark production and content creation. Those interested in a career in professional or collegiate athletics will gain experience and develop skills critical to beginning a career in sports video production. Applicants must have experience in video production and work closely with others in the video and marketing departments daily for the duration of the internship.

Responsibilities:
● Produce, shoot, and edit baseball and marketing content for distribution in the ballpark
through all digital signage and across social media platforms.
● Support the production and marketing team in creating highlight reels, behind-the-
scene footage, and interviews
● Work collaboratively to produce engaging content that drives fan engagement and
marketing efforts.
● Transform raw footage into polished, broadcast-quality video assets.
●  Assist in the set up and breakdown of production equipment during ballpark and off-
date events. 
● Schedule, load, and update, all content needed for events at HODGETOWN. 
● Assist Manager of Video Production in the maintenance of the ballpark's digital signage
and video infrastructure. 
● Assist in managing, training, and leading game day staff. 
● Organize game archives and highlights. 
● Assist in the creation of graphics for digital signage.
● Assist in the set up and video coverage of media day content

Other duties:
● Assist with overall organizational efforts.
● Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
● Experience using Adobe Creative Suite with an emphasis in Premiere, After Effects, and
Audition. (Photoshop and Illustrator preferred as well).
● Experience in a live control room environment.
● Ability to troubleshoot technical problems under stress.
● Ability to understand the signal flow of broadcasting elements
● Available to work long hours and nights, weekends, holidays during the Sod Poodles
season.
● Ability to multitask in a fast-paced and stressful environment
● Experience with Mirrorless and Professional Cameras.
● Strong time management, communication, and detail oriented skills
● Experience using video switchers (NewTek TriCaster & 3Play Preferred).
● Experience using ClickEffects Crossfire preferred, but not required.
● Experience using Audio Sound Boards (Allen & Heath Prefered)
● Degree or degree progress in TV Production, Broadcast Journalism, Sports Business,
Digital Communications and Media, or related field is preferred.  
● Previous experience in sports video production is preferred.
