The Mercy University Athletics Department is accepting applications for a Women’s Tennis Graduate Assistant. This position requires flexible hours - including mornings, evenings, and weekends - based on practice, competition, recruiting, travel and other team activities.

The primary responsibility of this position is to support the mission of Mercer University, as well as its athletics department, and the Men’s and Women’s Tennis programs. The Graduate Assistant will work directly with the head coach and assist with the day-to-day operation of the women's tennis program.

The successful candidate will be involved in all aspects of operating a competitive NCAA Division I tennis program.

Assist the Head Coach with the daily operation of the Mercer University Tennis programs.

1) Assist with planning and conducting team practices, individual workouts, conditioning sessions, and player development.

2) Provide on-court instruction, including technical and tactical development, match preparation, and competitive training.

3) Assist with coaching responsibilities during home and away competitions and tournaments.

4) Assist with recruiting prospective scholar-athletes, including identifying prospects, evaluating players, communicating with recruits, campus visits, and maintaining recruiting databases.

5) Assist with team travel arrangements, transportation, equipment, scheduling, and other program logistics.

6) Assist with home match and tournament operations, including court preparation, equipment setup and event management.

7) Assist with social media, recruiting content, and the overall promotion of Mercer University Tennis as assigned.

8) Help maintain tennis facilities, equipment, uniforms, and program inventory.

Assist with administrative responsibilities, including recruiting records, compliance documentation, scheduling, statistics, and other program-related duties.

9) Represent Mercer University and the tennis programs in a professional manner and comply with all University, Southern Conference (SoCon), and NCAA policies and regulations.

10) Maintain required certifications, training, and compliance documentation.

Perform other duties as assigned by the head coach and athletics department.
