About YouthForce
YouthForce (YF) is the youth workforce development program of the Boys & Girls Clubs of King County dedicated to leveling the professional playing field for underserved youth. By providing meaningful experiences, we seek to empower youth to develop a vision for their future, and develop the resources and networks to help them achieve their goals.
Program Overview: The TeamWork Internship Program (TWIP) offers teens a meaningful entry-level work experience; TeamWork Interns play a key role in fan game day experience during Seattle Mariners and Seattle Kraken home games. The TWIP extends beyond the game day job; teens must also participate in YF work readiness workshops and drop in or scheduled check-ins to prepare teens for post high school. The topics and resources covered in the workshops ensure that teens are on target to graduate high school, ready with competitive college and scholarship applications, a strong resume, and knowledge on managing their own finances.
