Job Title: Basketball Operations Intern

Reports To: VP of Basketball Strategy & Analytics

Summary: The Basketball Operations Intern will support all aspects of the Basketball Operations department with daily administrative and operational tasks, departmental projects, and other tasks as assigned. This is not a remote position and will require you to be in Milwaukee. 

Responsibilities:

  • Complete special projects from various departments, including basketball operations, cap & strategy, analytics, and scouting.
  • Generate daily NBA & G League reports and maintenance of depth charts, free agent lists, and salary sheets.
  • Assist with analysis of league-wide transactions.
  • Help research nuances of the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA).
  • Ensure daily operations in the practice facility run smoothly, including restocking supplies and refrigerators, distributing mail/supplies/tickets, executing shipments, etc.
  • Support executive needs, including reconciliation of expenses, escorting guests, providing rides, special reports and projects, and video preparation.
  • Provide transportation and logistical support for players and team personnel.
  • While fulfilling tasks related to the internship, the intern is regularly required to sit at a desk for extended periods of time, stand, walk, drive (and having a valid Driver’s License) and climb stairs and shall be able to exert up to 40 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. 
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Detail-oriented, hard-working, and business-minded.
  • Proficient with business software platforms, including the ability to create and maintain accurate documents, spreadsheets, database files, and professional presentations.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to consistently meet deadlines.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Ability to travel if/when needed with short notice.
  • Able to work under pressure and handle work-related stress.
  • Able to work independently and productively with minimum supervision.
  • Close familiarity with the NBA/G League landscape is preferred.
