Culinary Interns will assist the Food & Beverage leadership team in food preparation, buffet service, menu planning, inventory, ordering, and beverage setup and hospitality execution for events hosted at Breese Stevens Field during the 2027 soccer season. Handling it's concessions operations in-house, Breese Stevens Field is the home stadium to Forward Madison FC, Rally Madison FC, Madison Radicals, and a wide variety of major-concerts and community events.

Key Learnings:
  • Gain hands on experience with high-volume food service for events with up to 10,000 attendees.
  • Learn from an experienced leadership team how to scale from "ballpark" fare, to back of house performer/athlete meals, to VIP-style ticketed meal experiences.
  • Build management skills, including exposure to hiring, training, scheduling, and payroll review.
  • Participate in classes hosted by sports & entertainment industry experts.
Candidates should meet the following qualifications:
  • Over 18 years of age
  • Currently enrolled in a culinary or hospitality related educational program or other recent applicable experience
  • Availability to work a varied schedule, including frequent early mornings, evenings and weekends
  • Working knowledge of general food safety, service, and preparation
  • Possess a strong aptitude for details while working with an appropriate level of urgency to meet the needs of the situation.
  • Demonstrate a positive, professional attitude while interacting with both external and internal customers.
  • Residence within a reasonable commuting distance to Madison, WI. No relocation assistance is available.
  • Ability and willingness to work in an outdoor stadium environment subject the typical curveballs of Wisconsin weather.
State/End dates of the internship are flexible but will need to fall within a window of March to November 2027.
