Edinboro Sports Information Graduate Assistant

General Responsibilities:

The Sports Information Graduate Assistant will assist the Sports Information Director with all aspects of sports information and media relations.

Functions:

The successful candidate will assist in the day –to-day operations of the Sports Information Office. The candidate will be responsible for writing press releases, game recaps and feature stories for assigned sports. Compile and post statistics for assigned sports. Update information on the Edinboro Athletics website. Assist in carrying out the social media plan for all of Edinboro’s social media platforms. Assist in oversight of streaming efforts for assigned sports. Facilitate interviews with the media for Edinboro coaches and student-athletes.

Qualifications:

Candidates must have an undergraduate degree in communications, journalism, sports management or related field. Previous experience in a sports information office is preferred. Experience with various NCAA LiveStat preferred. Experience with AP Style, Adobe InDesign and Photoshop is preferred. Experience with SIDEARM Sports is also beneficial.
