The Indoor Football League is seeking a Football Analytics Intern to assist with statistical tracking, data management, and league-wide reporting throughout the 2026 season.
This is an unpaid, remote position, but you will gain hands-on experience working directly with official league data and contributing to content seen across the IFL’s digital, broadcast, and media platforms.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Compile and maintain official box scores, stat reports, and league databases
- Verify accuracy of game data, post-game summaries, and published statistics
- Identify and correct errors in statistical data and reports
- Organize and track team and player statistics on a weekly basis
- Assist in creating stat packs, game notes, and league reports
- Support league communications, broadcast teams, and media relations with statistical needs
- Research trends, milestones, records, and historical data
- Contribute to weekly league content, including Players of the Week and rankings
- Ensure accuracy and consistency across all statistical platforms and materials
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- Strong understanding of football (rules, positions, and stats)
- High attention to detail—accuracy is everything
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Strong communication skills
- Comfortable working nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Experience with Excel, Google Sheets, or statistical software is a plus
- Must have a reliable laptop/computer
- Willingness and ability to learn the league’s statistical software (PrestoStats)
