Position Overview
USA Hockey's Hockey Department is looking for a paid semester intern to support the video, audio, and digital content needs of Coaching Education, Officiating Education and Player Development.
USA Hockey's Hockey Department is looking for a paid semester intern to support the video, audio, and digital content needs of Coaching Education, Officiating Education and Player Development.
The Educational Content Intern would work with department staff to capture, edit, and produce educational media for the Hockey Department. The position would provide dedicated production support while offering hands-on professional experience for an individual pursuing a career in sports media, video production, education or digital content creation.
Primary Responsibilities
- Record and edit podcasts, interviews, instructional videos, and other educational content.
- Capture content with coaches, officials, athletes, staff, and subject matter experts to support educational needs.
- Edit long-form content and create shorter clips or supplemental resources.
- Add graphics, titles, captions, and other production elements to content
- Set up and operate cameras, microphones, lighting, and audio equipment.
- Organize and maintain video, audio, and media assets for future use.
- Assist with administration duties for the coaching education program, contact for Primary clinics and continuing education modules.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated skills in audio production, editing, camera production and digital media creation.
- Experience with Adobe products, or similar software is preferred.
- Must possess organizational skills, attention to detail, creativity, and professionalism.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Previous hockey experience beneficial, not required.
Internship Details
- Will run approximately 12 β 16 weeks
- Occasional travel may be expected
- Position will be primarily remote with some onsite expectations for events, etc.
- Hours may vary but will be no more than 20 per week on average.
