Intern, Game Night Social Media
Sioux Falls SkyforceThe Game Night Social Media Intern supports the organization's digital presence by contributing to real-time content creation and social media coverage during game nights and live events. This role is centered on capturing dynamic visual content and translating the energy of the gameday experience into compelling digital storytelling across the organization's social media channels. Working collaboratively alongside content, marketing, and communications staff, the intern plays a contributing role in executing gameday coverage plans, supporting brand consistency, and helping fulfill promotional and storytelling objectives. The position offers hands-on exposure to the fast-paced intersection of sports, entertainment, and digital media, requiring a creative mindset, an awareness of current social media trends and platform conventions, and the ability to produce engaging content in a live event environment.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:Β

- Capture photo and video content throughout gameday, including player arrivals, warmups, in-game action, fan experiences, and special presentations.
- Create and publish engaging real-time content across the Skyforce's social media platforms while maintaining the organization's brand voice.
- Collaborate with the content, marketing, and communications teams to execute gameday coverage, sponsor deliverables, and storytelling opportunities.
- Bring creativity and new ideas to every game while remaining aware of trends, platform best practices, and league guidelines.

Education and/or Experience
Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university in Communications, Marketing, Digital Media, Journalism, or a related field; or one to two years related experience and/or training in social media content creation, digital marketing, or sports communications; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge of major social media platforms, including Instagram, X (formerly Twitter), TikTok, Facebook, and YouTube, with an understanding of platform-specific content strategies and best practices. Proficiency in photo and video editing tools commonly used for social media content creation.
