We are seeking a dynamic, charismatic, go-getter as our Marketing & Events Intern reporting to the Director, Game Presentation. This individual will be joining the Tempo full time from May – August 2026 for a paid internship.
Job Summary:
The Marketing & Events Intern will support the Marketing team with planning and execution of game day entertainment, marketing campaigns, media execution, content, and fan engagement initiatives during the team’s inaugural season. This role will work collaboratively with the marketing, partnerships, content, communications and game presentation teams to bring the Tempo brand to life across digital, in-arena, and community touchpoints. This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced, live sports environment, with a strong emphasis on game day execution, content creation, and cultural relevance.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Game Presentation and Events
- Support the Game Presentation team in executing game day marketing elements, including giveaways, promotions, and fan activations.
- Assist with setup, coordination, and execution of in-arena entertainment experiences.
- Help coordinate scheduling of entertainment teams and special performance groups across pre-game, in-game, halftime, and special event programming.
- Assist the Director, Game Presentation in sourcing, booking, and coordinating talent for in-game entertainment.
- Assist with game night execution in the arena control room and throughout the venue.
- Facilitate in-game promotions and help drive fan engagement through contests, giveaways, and other promotional activities.
- Collaborate with departments across Toronto Tempo to help deliver a seamless, engaging, and memorable fan experience.
- Support the planning and execution of community events and pop-ups throughout the season.
- Assist with on-site setup, coordination, and teardown for community events.
Brand & Campaign Marketing
- Support the Director, Brand & Community by bringing marketing campaigns to life across social, digital, and in-arena moments.
- Support the execution of game theme nights (like Pride, Heritage Nights, and Fan Celebration) to ensure our Tempo brand is well reflected.
- Provide printing and shipping support to the team as needed.
Content & Social
- Help the team capture content on game days, events, and in the community.
- Assist the Manager, Social Media Marketing with writing social captions for online content.
- Ensure content calendars up to date to keep the Marketing team organized.
- Stay on top of trends and flag opportunities for the Tempo to show up online in real time.
Communications & Media
- Support the Communications team with game day and event logistics, including media check-in and on-site coordination.
- Help prepare and organize media materials and internal communications documents.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Currently a post secondary student in any program or recent graduate.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, comfortable dealing with ambiguity, and a “no job too big or small” attitude.
- Self-starter able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be able to commute to our downtown Toronto office or Coca-Cola Coliseum four days a week a minimum.
- Must be available to work weeknights, late nights, and weekends throughout the entire internship.

The salary range for the Intern, Marketing & Events role is $1232.00 CAD biweekly.
