Promotions and Community Relations Intern
An internship with the Hudson Valley Renegades provides an opportunity to see behind the curtain of what it takes to operate a renowned Minor League Baseball operation. The knowledge and experience you will gain here will help you grow in your professional career, whether that is in Sports or elsewhere. As a Full-Time Summer Intern, you will assist in the execution of the Renegades’ 32nd season, 6th as the High-A Affiliate of the New York Yankees.
The Hudson Valley Renegades are searching for an energetic, creative, and detail-oriented Promotions & Community Relations to join our front office team for the 2026 season. This internship offers hands-on experience across sports marketing, game-day entertainment, event execution, and community outreach. The intern will play a key role in elevating the fan experience and supporting the Renegades brand throughout the Hudson Valley.
Key Responsibilities
Promotions Responsibilities:
- Assist with planning, prepping and executing theme nights giveaways, on-field contests and special promotions.
- Support the in-game entertainment team with script organization, timing and between inning activations.
- Coordinate in-game programs such as national anthems, pre-game performances and other potential ‘activations.’
- Help coordinate mascot appearances and help with mascot prep as needed.
- Contribute creative ideas that elevate the in-game show and engage fans of all ages.
- Participate in gameday set up and break down for promotional elements, signage, props and entertainment areas.
- Manage the Pinstripe Posse members and their gameday responsibilities.
Community Relations Responsibilities:
- Represent the organization at community events, school visits and partner appearances.
- Work with Manager, Community Relations to help with coordination of all outreach and community initiatives.
- Oversee Rascals Kids Club presented by Heritage Financial Credit Union
- Blend community and in-game efforts to showcase reach in the Hudson Valley
Qualifications:
- Willingness to work long hours, weekends and holidays during the season.
- Ability to work all home games unless otherwise excused by your supervisor.
- Pursuing a degree in a related area.
- Knowledge in Adobe Creative Suite & Canva
- Knowledge in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Self-motivated, enthusiastic and eager employee wanting to grow within the sports industry.
- Ability to work independently with little supervision to achieve marketing goals.
- Strong detail-orientation coupled with strong time management skills required.
- Familiarity with sports industry or baseball terminology.
- Comfortable interacting with the public and being a part of a high energy entertainment environment.
Compensation:
· Monthly Stipend provided
· Hourly pay for gamedays during the season.
