The Atlanta Vibe is a professional women’s volleyball team competing in the MLV (Major League Volleyball), dedicated to delivering high-energy, world-class sports entertainment. As the first professional women’s volleyball team in Atlanta, we are building something exciting, and impactful—and we want you to be a part of it.
Position Overview
Atlanta Vibe Pro Volleyball is seeking a motivated and creative Merchandising Intern to support the team’s merchandise operations during the Spring 2027 season.
The intern will gain hands-on experience across sports merchandising, retail operations, inventory management, product presentation, and game-day sales. This role is ideal for a student or emerging professional interested in sports business, fashion, retail, marketing, or professional sports.
The Merchandising Intern will work closely with the team’s merchandise and operations staff to help ensure fans have an engaging and seamless retail experience throughout the season.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with day-to-day merchandise operations, including product organization, inventory counts, restocking, and fulfillment.
- Support merchandise setup and breakdown for home games, events, pop-ups, and community appearances.
- Help maintain an organized and visually appealing merchandise area at team events.
- Assist with point-of-sale transactions and provide friendly customer service to fans when needed.
- Monitor merchandise inventory and communicate potential stock needs to the appropriate team member.
- Assist with receiving, organizing, labeling, and storing merchandise shipments.
- Help track merchandise sales and inventory information using spreadsheets or other internal systems.
- Assist with merchandise displays and product merchandising based on team branding and promotional priorities.
- Support special merchandise initiatives, promotions, giveaways, and limited-edition product launches.
- Assist with researching merchandise trends, fan preferences, and potential new product ideas.
- Collaborate with marketing, partnerships, ticketing, operations, and game-day staff as needed.
- Perform other merchandising and operational duties to support the team during the Spring 2027 season.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a college or university program; preferred areas of study include merchandising, fashion, marketing, business, sports management, communications, or a related field.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Professional, positive, and customer-service-oriented attitude.
- Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with a team.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, event-driven environment.
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office, or similar tools.
- Ability to lift and move merchandise boxes and supplies as needed.
- Willingness to work select evenings, weekends, and game days.
- Interest in professional sports and/or the Atlanta Vibe is strongly encouraged.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous retail, merchandising, e-commerce, customer service, or sports experience.
- Experience with inventory management or point-of-sale systems.
- Familiarity with current sports/fashion merchandise trends.
- Experience creating spreadsheets, tracking inventory, or analyzing basic sales data.
- Creative eye for product presentation and visual merchandising.

Time Commitment & Compensation
This is an unpaid internship for the Spring 2027 season. The anticipated schedule will be part-time and may include home games, evenings, weekends, and special events. Specific hours and internship dates will be communicated during the interview process.
