ABOUT THE CLUB
Minnesota Aurora FC is a community-owned women’s soccer team based in the Twin Cities, with over 5,000 community owners across all 50 states and 19 countries. The team plays in the pre-professional USL W League, featuring some of the best amateur and aspiring professional players from Minnesota and around the world. The club is operated by a women-led front office and coaching staff.

INTERNSHIP PROGRAM EXPECTATIONS
Interns are expected to participate in the organization, as is required of all staff.

Interns working in person are expected to be available for events or projects led by their department. Interns working remotely may also be expected to support these events. Examples include, but are not limited to, community owner events, inventory, in-office events, merchandise markets, community engagement, and team-building activities.

Aurora FC understands that individual circumstances may differ. We expect clear and immediate communication if you are unable to attend or support an event, or if you need to make schedule adjustments during a certain period.

To create the best possible environment where everyone feels supported, engages in deep learning, and maintains a balanced life, all interns are expected to participate in regular one-on-one meetings with their manager, as well as department meetings.

POSITION OVERVIEW
This internship is part of the Minnesota Aurora FC program, creating opportunities for individuals historically underrepresented in sports to develop professionally through hands-on, meaningful work experience that directly supports the growth and development of the club.

PROJECT OVERVIEW

Title: Support the Daily Operations of the Front Office

Manager: Saara Hassoun
Department: Management
Duration: Flexible

Goal / Intended Outcome:
The Aurora office operates more smoothly and efficiently with improved systems in place, and all staff are appropriately trained.

Tasks:

  • Provide administrative and operational support to front office leadership and department staff
  • Assist with scheduling meetings, managing calendars, and coordinating cross-department communication
  • Partner with staff to assess office needs, build systems, and order or purchase approved materials and supplies
  • Answer and route emails in a professional manner
  • Support USL W League reporting requirements and internal documentation processes
  • Maintain digital and physical filing systems in compliance with club and league standards
  • Assist with CRM updates, ticketing database management, and data entry
  • Prepare materials for matchdays, league meetings, sponsor activations, and club events
  • Coordinate credential packets, media guides, and front office hospitality logistics
  • Support community outreach initiatives and club events as needed
  • Assist with special projects, including sponsorship fulfillment and marketing campaigns

COMPENSATION
Internships with Minnesota Aurora FC are unpaid.
