POSITION: Photography & Social Media Intern

Dates: January-May, 2027

This internship is designed to focus primarily on photography, videography, and social media content creation. The ideal candidate is a creative, detail-oriented self-starter with a strong interest in storytelling and a passion for social media strategy and growth. This role plays a key role in elevating the Junior Golf Association of Arizona’s social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, X, & LinkedIn) and presence through compelling, timely, and strategic content.

The intern will work closely with the Tournament Director and must demonstrate professionalism, reliability, strong communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, outdoor environment. Interest and experience in golf is preferred.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Capture high-quality photos and short-form video content at JGAA tournaments
- Edit photos and videos for social and digital use (experience with Adobe Lightroom, Photoshop, Premiere Pro, Final Cut, or similar tools preferred)
- Develop and execute social media content strategies and campaigns with the goal of increasing engagement and growing JGAA’s social media following
- Create and schedule posts for Instagram, Facebook, and X, including captions, hashtags, and basic analytics awareness
- Conduct brief on-site interviews with players to gather authentic storytelling content
- Communicate consistently with the Tournament Director regarding content needs, schedules, and priorities
- Assist the operations team with tournament set-up and on-site support as needed
- Provide general tournament operations and management support

REQUIREMENTS:
- Own camera equipment preferred
- Must have a reliable vehicle to get to courses across the valley; mileage compensation provided
- Experience in sports, event, or action photography
- Strong interest in social media, content creation, and storytelling
- Experience editing photos and videos for social platforms
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Highly organized
- Reliable, punctual, and able to arrive early for tournaments (early mornings required)
- Comfortable working long days, weekends, and outdoors in Arizona
- Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively within a team
- Interest or experience in golf is strongly preferred
