Sponsorship Sales Internship
Part-Time | 8–10 hours/week | Unpaid | Remote or LA-based preferred
About the Role:
Los Angeles Astra, LA’s professional women’s ultimate frisbee team, is seeking a driven and
people-oriented Sponsorship Sales Intern to help us grow our network of partners. This is a
hands-on opportunity to gain real experience in outreach, sales strategy, and partnership
building—all while supporting a mission-driven, community-focused pro sports team.
Responsibilities:
- Research and identify potential sponsors across industries (local businesses, startups,
aligned brands)
- Draft and send sponsorship outreach emails, follow up with warm leads, and help
schedule calls
- Collaborate with team leadership to tailor pitch decks and proposals
- Track outreach efforts in a CRM or spreadsheet and report weekly on progress
- Help brainstorm creative activation ideas for potential sponsors
- Assist in developing and maintaining relationships with existing sponsors
- Contribute to the development of a robust sponsorship pipeline for the 2025 season and
beyond
Who You Are:
- A strong communicator—written and verbal—with a friendly, professional tone
- Comfortable initiating conversations and pitching ideas to new contacts
- Passionate about sports, marketing, and building community partnerships
- Detail-oriented, organized, and motivated to hit outreach goals
- Able to commit approx. 8–10 hours/week, with flexibility around scheduling
- Bonus: experience in sales, marketing, or nonprofit fundraising is a plus
