Overview
The Kansas City Diamonds are seeking a passionate and talented Photography/Videography Intern from January until May to join our dynamic team. This hands-on internship offers a unique opportunity to gain valuable experience in sports visual content creation, digital media, and storytelling within a professional sports organization. The intern will play a key role in capturing compelling images and videos that engage our fan base, promote the team, and enhance our online presence across various platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Capture high-quality photos and videos during games, practices, special events, and behind-the-scenes moments, documenting fan interactions and team culture.
- Assist in the post-production process, including editing, color correction, and sound design for photos and videos using industry-standard software.
- Organize, tag, and archive all visual assets, ensuring easy accessibility and proper storage.
- Collaborate with the social media and marketing teams to align visual content with strategic campaigns and brand guidelines.
- Contribute creative ideas for visual content that highlights team achievements, player personalities, and community involvement.
- Ensure all visual content maintains a consistent brand aesthetic and quality.
- Assist with basic equipment setup and breakdown for shoots.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a relevant program (e.g., Photography, Film Production, Digital Media, Journalism, Communications).
- Demonstrated proficiency with professional camera equipment (DSLR/mirrorless) and accessories.
- Experience with photo and video editing software (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve).
- Strong understanding of visual storytelling, composition, and lighting techniques.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, meeting deadlines consistently.
- Excellent attention to detail and creative vision.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends for events.
- A portfolio showcasing relevant photography and videography work is required.
