Reports to: Senior Manager, Premium Sales
Based at: PPG Paints Arena, 1001 Fifth Ave, Pittsburgh, PA 15219 (in person is required for this internship)
Approximate Timeline:
- This internship posting will remain open until June 1st, 2026.

- Anticipated start date is September 7th, 2026 and end date is December 4th, 2026.
Requirements: This internship is onsite at the Pittsburgh Penguins offices at PPG Paints Arena and is open to students entering their junior or senior year in college, with 30-40 hours of flexible availability each week. The internship is paid hourly at the rate of $10 per hour. Students remain eligible for earning course credits for their internship and will be responsible for ensuring that the internship meets the criteria of their program and/or university.
Objective: Intern(s) will observe and learn the basics of how a professional ticketing department functions. Exposure includes (but is not limited to) season ticket sales, group sales, membership retention, and operations throughout the duration of the semester.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Learn all aspects of the ticket sales process
- Cold-call past purchasers, local businesses and organizations
- Self-prospect and search for opportunities to assist new businesses and local organizations through season ticket, group, or premium packages
- Update customer information in Ticketmaster Archtics and/or CRM when needed
- Assist in the planning, development and execution of both prospecting and season ticket holder events
- Conduct research and brainstorm new benefits, incentives, events, and experiences for the department
- All other duties as assigned
Skills, Experience and Abilities:
- Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Business, Sports Management, Marketing or related field
- Proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Excellent communication skills including written and verbal; ability to present ideas clearly and concisely
- A self-starter with a positive attitude; customer service and fan experience oriented
- An ability to thrive in a dynamic, deadline-driven environment
- Flexibility to adapt to a frequently changing work environment, and deliver on challenging demands
- Presents self in professional manner and have the ability to interact with all levels of the organization and outside contacts and maintain the highest level of confidentiality
- Available to work a variable schedule, including nights, weekends, and home games as scheduled
- Open to feedback with a strong desire to learn and grow; highly coachable and receptive to guidance
