The Southern Maryland Blue Crabs, a member of the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball, are seeking motivated college students for a Ticket Sales & Service and Group Sales internship during the 2027 spring and summer seasons. This educational opportunity is designed for students looking to gain hands-on experience in ticket sales, customer service, group outings, and revenue generation within a professional baseball organization while earning college credit toward their academic requirements.
Compensation: This internship is unpaid and is available to students receiving academic credit through their college or university. However, interns will have the opportunity to qualify for commission based on eligible ticket sales, providing additional earning potential tied to their sales performance. Participation does not guarantee future employment with the organization.
Time Frame/Schedule: The internship will align with the student's academic schedule and may extend through August 2027. Students interested in gaining experience during the winter months are encouraged to inquire about availability and potential opportunities before the spring semester begins.
Program Description:
Interns will work directly with the Ticket Sales & Service and Group Sales staff, gaining practical experience in the daily operations of a professional sports ticketing department. Responsibilities will include supporting ticket sales initiatives, assisting with customer service and account management, developing group outing opportunities, and helping build relationships with individuals, businesses, schools, and community organizations. Interns will also gain hands-on experience using the Tickets.com ticketing system to support ticket sales, manage customer accounts, process ticket orders, and assist with ticket operations.
