The Oklahoma City Thunder is seeking passionate students who have an interest in bringing the brand to the next generation of fans through authentic storytelling. As a College Ambassador for the 2026-27 academic year, you’ll receive insight into how a global brand approaches a multi-generational audience.
You'll have the opportunity to focus on one department throughout the year and align your passions within the industry. This opportunity offers hands-on experience with a global brand, where you’ll engage in marketing initiatives, network with industry professionals, and build your organizational skills throughout the 2026-27 season.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Amplify key moments for the brand in an authentic and meaningful way through on campus activations, social media, and specialized departments.
- Promote initiatives through social media in an impactful way with giveaway opportunities.
- Goals are to drive awareness, assist in marketing objectives and signups for Thunder SMS program, promote the brand in a positive way, and drive overall social media engagement, ticket sales, and brand messaging.
- Collect insights and feedback through brand surveys and peer conversations.
- Show us the results! Learn how to report on your social media impact and engage in monthly competitions.
- Participate in peer-to-peer group chats and monthly development sessions.
- Activate in your specialized department within your campus and Thunder communities.
- Social Media & Content: Curate content on different social media platforms, strengthen visuals through photography and videography, and participate in current trends.
- Graphic & Digital Design: Develops creative ideas and visual concepts through graphics, posters, and motion graphics to deliver the Thunder brand effectively.
- Community Engagement: Identify credible, creative ways to integrate the Thunder brand into student life on campus. Opportunity to assist in Thunder events if needed.
- PR & Communications: Support storytelling through curating articles, captions, newsletters, and interviews to strengthen the Thunder brand.
- Broadcasting: Support storytelling through on camera presence, reporting, and interviewing during on campus activations and Thunder events if needed.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR
- Full time undergraduate student.
- Not eligible if graduate level student, part time, or full-time staff (excluding interns and events crew).
- Demonstrable knowledge of campus clubs, organizations, and events.
- Influence among peers with strong connections to a diverse range of campus organizations.
- Ability to utilize your campus network and communication skills to find event and speaking opportunities.
- Affinity for the Thunder organization and its team.
- Strong knowledge and use of Social Media platforms including Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, and Facebook.
- Highly creative and innovative.
- Flexible, adaptable, and open to feedback.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- Current GPA of 3.0+.
- Live in the United States of America.
- Willing to keep your personal social accounts public for the entire 10+ week duration of the program.
- Not currently engaged in another sports team’s Ambassador program.
- Have transportation for some in-person engagements.
INTERVIEW AND ONBOARDING PROCESS
- Once we receive your application, a Thunder coordinator will reach out within a few business days to set up a first-round video interview.
- The second round will be a video interview with the organization management team.
