Title: App & Fan Engagement Marketing Intern

Job Summary: The Fan Engagement Marketing Intern is responsible for providing a wide range of support to the Marketing team throughout the season for Sacramento Kings initiatives. This person will be a valuable resource supporting a variety of marketing initiatives, including Theme Nights, giveaway promotions, game-day activations, app and loyalty initiatives, creative project coordination, and more!
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with game-day execution of Theme Nights, including character and mascot logistics, meet-and-greet line management, and facilitation of concourse activations to deliver a best-in-class fan experience.
- Partner with the Creative team to develop and traffic marketing assets, ensuring projects are completed on time and align with brand standards.
- Help coordinate vendor communications, ordering, production timelines, and fulfillment for giveaway initiatives.
- Coordinate giveaway promotions by partnering with the Creative team to develop marketing assets and ensure materials are delivered on time across marketing channels.
- Assist with creating internal Theme Night recap communications by compiling event photos, activation highlights, and key takeaways to support cross-functional alignment.
- Assist with the execution of digital experiences across the Kings app, including Royalty Pass, Fan Challenges, Call The Shot, Royalty Pass+, and other initiatives.
- Draft push notifications, emails, and SMS campaigns supporting app engagement, loyalty, and fan experiences.
- Submit creative requests and coordinate approved assets for digital marketing campaigns.
- Perform quality assurance (QA) testing on new app features, promotions, and loyalty experiences before launch.
Qualifications:
- College Majors preferred in Business, Marketing, Communications or related field
- Detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task, prioritize projects and adapt quickly to a fast-paced work environment
- Demonstrated ability to think creatively about solutions to complex problems
- Desire for continued learning and development
- Exceptional writing and proofing skills
- Ability to meet strict deadlines
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook a must.
- Previous experience using project management software preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Highly organized with the ability to prioritize time-sensitive assignments
- Passion for the sports and entertainment industry
- Available to work some nights and weekends
To qualify for Kings University internships, you must be:
- Currently enrolled in college or have graduated within 12 months
- Able to commute to the downtown Sacramento office
- Able to work up to 25 hours per week
Interns will be compensated $17.50 per hour and receive benefits such as California Paid Sick Leave, discounts on Sacramento Kings merchandise, and free parking.
