Quaker Internship Program Mission Statement
The Quaker Internship Program serves to provide the next generation of industry leaders with hands-on exposure to the inner workings of collegiate athletics and recreation. Our Quaker Interns help further Penn’s strategic goals and objectives, while in return our interns leave with a new and unique perspective on the industry they are actively pursuing. All applicants must be eligible to receive academic credit.

Internship Description
The Community Engagement Intern will support the Senior Associate Athletic Director for Community Engagement with administrative support, program development, community outreach, educational programming, event planning, research, and content development. The intern will also provide support and coordination for student-athlete affinity groups, including SAAC, and collaborate with campus and community partners to strengthen engagement and belonging across Athletics & Recreation.

Internship Qualifications
• Graduate student in Social Sciences, Public Administration, Higher Education, Human Resources, or Health Sciences.
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Interest in community engagement, belonging, and inclusive programming.
• Experience with event planning, outreach, or program development.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Experience with Canva or digital content platforms is a plus.
