ABOUT THE CLUB

Minnesota Aurora FC is a community-owned women’s soccer team based in the Twin Cities, with over 5,000 community owners across all 50 states and 19 countries. The team plays in the pre-professional USL W League, featuring the best amateur and aspiring professional players from Minnesota and around the globe. The club is operated by a women-led front office and coaching staff.

INTERNSHIP PROGRAM EXPECTATIONS

Interns are expected to actively participate in the organization, as required of all staff, in preparation for and during the season. Everyone is expected to be available for all home games, including pre-season exhibition games (early May) and post-season playoff games (weekends in July).

Additionally, interns may be required to attend and support other department-led events, including:

• Kit reveals
• Community owner events
• Inventory organization
• Season ticket-holder events
• Volunteer appreciation events

Minnesota Aurora FC understands that individual circumstances may differ; however, clear and timely communication is expected if you are unable to attend an in-season event or need to adjust your schedule.

To create a supportive and productive environment, all interns are expected to:

• Participate in regular one-on-one meetings with their manager
• Attend department meetings

POSITION OVERVIEW

This internship is part of the Minnesota Aurora FC program, designed to create opportunities for individuals historically underrepresented in sports to gain hands-on, meaningful work experience that directly supports the club’s growth and development.

PROJECT OVERVIEW

Title: Lead the Development and Distribution of Credentials
Manager: Game Day Manager
Department: Game Day
Duration: May – End of Season

Goal / Intended Outcome:
Ensure that all individuals requiring credentials receive the correct access. Credentials should be prepared in advance, distributed efficiently and securely on game days, and aligned with pre-approved lists. Attendance must be accurately tracked and recorded.

TASKS

• Coordinate with the Volunteer Coordinator to confirm staffing needs for each game
• Prepare credentials one business day prior to each game, including:
  • Printing name badges
  • Organizing temporary credentials
  • Confirming attendance lists across departments
• Develop and maintain a streamlined credential and attendance tracking system (e.g., Google Sheets)
• Collaborate with Sponsorships, Media, and Volunteer leadership to manage last-minute credential updates on game days
• Check in staff, partners, and sponsors, ensuring credentials align with approved lists
• Escalate credentialing concerns to appropriate leadership when necessary
• Track and record attendance on game days

Note:
This position requires:

• Availability to work in the office at least one business day prior to each game
• In-person availability for all games, from setup through teardown
