Intern, Broadcasting & PR

The Hudson Valley Renegades, the High-A affiliate of the New York Yankees, are accepting applications for a Broadcasting and PR Intern for the 2026 season.

 

Start Date: Late March-Early April 2026

End Date: Mid-September 2026

 

Responsibilities:

·       Broadcast the middle three innings for 66 home games

·       Assist in production of daily game notes, postgame notes and press releases

·       Host and assist with production of daily “Renegades BP Show” in-ballpark pregame show

·       Update hvrenegades.com with postgame notes, feature articles and other team news

·       Assist in writing feature articles for Renegades Magazine program and write one feature article per week for the team’s website

·       Conduct player and coach interviews for radio pregame show

·       Host radio pregame and postgame shows as needed

·       Produce and distribute stat packs, lineup cards and box scores

·       Assist with team’s content creation efforts for social media channels

·       Assist with fulfilling media inquiries for Renegades players, coaches and front office staff

·       Assist with logging and archiving photo and video database

·       Contribute writing and editing support for team’s media guide

·       Set up press box for each home game

·       Other duties as assigned

 

Experience and Qualifications:

·       Ability to work in a team environment for extended hours

·       Organized, motivated, detail-oriented, self-starter and adaptable

·       MUST have strong writing and proofreading skills

·       Must have experience with Adobe InDesign

·       One year of previous broadcasting experience preferred

·       Audio and Video editing experience preferred

·       Familiarity with MLB web interfaces is a plus
