Quaker Internship Program Mission Statement
The Quaker Internship Program serves to provide the next generation of industry leaders with
hands-on exposure to the inner workings of collegiate athletics and recreation. Our Quaker
Interns help further Penn’s strategic goals and objectives, while in return our interns leave with
a new and unique perspective on the industry they are actively pursuing. All applicants must be
eligible to receive academic credit.
Internship Description
The Penn Champions Club (PCC) is the development and alumni relations arm of Penn Athletics.
Working with the Director of Annual Giving and the Associate Director of Events, the Event
Operations Intern will play a vital role in the planning and execution of Penn Champions Club
alumni relations events. The intern will also assist in creating and distributing promotional
marketing materials through social media and email, perform administrative duties, create
event invitations, distribute electronic marketing materials, and maintain RSVP lists. The intern
will also be responsible for preparing event briefs for Penn Athletics coaches and staff and
completing any other duties as assigned by the Assistant Director of Events. This is a hybrid
position requiring 25–30 hours per week.
Internship Qualifications
• Experience with Adobe Photoshop, Canva, and/or
InDesign
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Organized and detail-oriented nature
• Ability to work with diverse groups of people
• Flexible hours
• Familiarity with Microsoft Suite products
