Quaker Internship Program Mission Statement
The Quaker Internship Program serves to provide the next generation of industry leaders with hands-on exposure to the inner workings of collegiate athletics and recreation. Our Quaker Interns help further Penn’s strategic goals and objectives, while in return our interns leave with a new and unique perspective on the industry they are actively pursuing. All applicants must be eligible to receive academic credit.

Internship Description
The Penn Relays / Track & Field Intern will support the daily operations of Penn Relays, Penn Track & Field, and the Ott Center. Responsibilities include event and gameday support, inventory management, website maintenance, record keeping, and database entry. The intern will also assist coaches, athletes, administrators, and attendees by answering questions and providing information during events. This position will provide hands-on experience in athletic operations and event management while offering opportunities to contribute ideas and support department initiatives. The intern will also collaborate with departments including marketing, communications, sponsorship, facilities, ticketing, and business development.

Internship Qualifications
A successful candidate will have a genuine interest in Track & Field and the Penn Relays, along with the ability to manage a flexible schedule that includes event hours, evenings, and weekends. The intern should be comfortable working independently and as part of a team to achieve shared goals. Strong multitasking, organizational, and time-management skills are essential, as is the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.
