Entering their fourth season (Junction FC) and third season (Rhodies FC), both clubs host home matches at Nino Cantu Stadium. West Seattle Junction FC (men's team, USL League Two) and Rhodies FC (women's team, USL W League) deliver affordable, community-centered soccer experiences that bring neighbors together on matchday. We are committed to providing an elite soccer environment that celebrates local pride and neighborhood access.

Role Overview

The Social Media & Fan Engagement Intern supports initiatives that connect the club with fans, partners, and the broader West Seattle community. This role blends community outreach, event support, and content creation, with a strong focus on visual storytelling and digital engagement.  This role reports to the Director of Operations.

Responsibilities

Social Media & Content Creation

  • Create social media content for platforms including Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and others as needed
  • Capture high-quality photos and videos during matches, trainings, and community events
  • Assist in creating promotional videos, short-form content, and highlight reels
  • Manage and organize visual assets for use on social media and the team's website
  • Support post-game and post-event content publishing

Community Engagement & Outreach

  • Support social media initiatives that engage the local community with the teams and their mission
  • Assist in organizing and supporting community events, matchday promotions, and outreach programs
  • Help foster and maintain online relationships with local organizations, nonprofits, and schools
  • Represent the club professionally at community events and activations

Marketing & Fan Engagement

  • Assist in developing marketing and fan engagement strategies to promote the team
  • Support promotional campaigns leading up to and during the season
  • Help organize and execute promotional events designed to grow attendance and community participation

Qualifications

  • Interest in sports marketing, social media, communications, or community engagement
  • Strong visual storytelling instincts and attention to detail
  • Comfortable using a smartphone or camera to capture photo and video content
  • Familiarity with social media platforms and trends
  • Organized, dependable, and able to manage multiple projects
  • Available for evenings and weekends during matches and events
