Role Overview

The Team Operations Intern is essential to the behind-the-scenes work that drive our competitive success. Supporting both Junction FC and Rhodies FC, this hands-on role provides a comprehensive look at day-to-day club management, from training field preparation to matchday execution and travel logistics. It is an ideal opportunity to develop practical skills in organization, communication, and problem-solving within a professional sports front office. This role reports to the General Manager. 

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a liaison for player communications and information distribution
  • Help with practice reporting and ensure the accuracy of team records
  • Help coordinate regional travel logistics and itineraries for USL road matches
  • Assist with daily training setup and breakdown, including equipment and hydration stations
  • Execute matchday operations, including locker room, bench, and stadium logistics
  • Maintain and track inventory for apparel, footwear, and technical equipment
  • Support equipment packing and shipping for away-game travel
  • Oversee daily laundry services and gear distribution for players and staff
  • Assist with administrative scheduling and vendor coordination
  • Perform facility upkeep, including goal assembly and net maintenance
  • Handle other operational duties as assigned by the General Manager

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a degree in sports management, business, or a related field
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication abilities
  • Proficient with Google workplace tools
  • High level of professionalism and discretion in a team environment
  • Ability to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds regularly
  • Passionate interest in soccer and sports operations
  • Commitment of 20–30 hours per week, including nights and weekends
  • Successful completion of a background screening and SafeSport certification
