Our Quaker Interns help further Penn’s strategic goals and objectives, while in return our interns leave with a new and unique perspective on the industry they are actively pursuing. All applicants must be eligible to receive academic credit.
Internship Description
The Social Media Intern will support the coaching staffs of specific, assigned teams with the day-to-day social media efforts for Penn Athletics, working approximately 10–20 hours per week. Responsibilities include assisting with the daily monitoring and engagement of Penn Athletics’ official team social media accounts; supporting gameday social media coverage for home competitions; organizing and creating content for social media features and campaigns; collaborating with the external operations team to develop new social media marketing and fan engagement ideas; assisting with the fulfillment of sponsored social media campaigns; and completing other duties as assigned by the coaching staffs of the specific teams.
Internship Qualifications
• Experience or demonstrated interest in social media, content creation, digital marketing, or communications; portfolio required
• Strong communication, organization, attention to detail, and creativity
• Experience with Adobe Creative Suite or other content creation platforms required
• Basic content-creation equipment (e.g., smartphone or camera) preferred
