Quaker Internship Program Mission Statement
The Quaker Internship Program serves to provide the next generation of industry leaders with hands-on exposure to the inner workings of collegiate athletics and recreation. Our Quaker Interns help further Penn’s strategic goals and objectives, while in return our interns leave with a new and unique perspective on the industry they are actively pursuing. All applicants must be eligible to receive academic credit.

Internship Description
The Coaching Internship offers hands-on experience for those pursuing a career in collegiate strength and conditioning, contributing as a member of the Sports Performance team to help Penn student-athletes reach their highest potential mentally and physically. Interns assist with and lead on-field and weight room coaching sessions under the guidance of an experienced staff, gaining exposure to our holistic training approach and administrative strategies while developing leadership skills through direct athlete interaction. Successful candidates will bring humility, positivity, and a growth mindset, along with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to be a great teammate. Responsibilities include maintaining the Weiss Weight Room and supporting the applied sports science program through sport-related data collection and analysis, all in service of creating an unrivaled student-athlete experience. This is an in-person position requiring a commitment of 15–20 hours per week.

Internship Qualifications
•Working towards the NSCA-CSCS with eligibility to receive CEUs in Category C
•Ability to work early morning shifts or late afternoon shifts
