Quaker Internship Program Mission Statement
The Quaker Internship Program serves to provide the next generation of industry leaders with
hands-on exposure to the inner workings of collegiate athletics and recreation. Our Quaker
Interns help further Penn’s strategic goals and objectives, while in return our interns leave with
a new and unique perspective on the industry they are actively pursuing. All applicants must be
eligible to receive academic credit.
Internship Description
As the Women's Tennis Social Media Intern, you will support the program’s media, content,
and matchday efforts by capturing high-quality footage of matches and practices for team
social media channels, fan and alumni engagement, and video analysis. You will also contribute
creatively to pre-match and post-match content, including recaps, promotions, and other
initiatives designed to engage and grow the program’s fan base. During home matches, you will
manage real-time live scoring to ensure fan portals and athletic department feeds remain
accurate and up to date. Additionally, you will help execute game-day promotions through prematch build-up content, social media graphics, and live in-game updates to increase program
visibility and enhance the fan experience. This is a hybrid position requiring approximately 5–10
hours per week.
Internship Qualifications
• Enrolled in a degree program seeking academic credit, with an interest in sports
media, photography/videography, and creative writing
• Reliable, self-motivated, and able to meet deadlines in a fast-paced game-day
environment
• Familiar with major social media platforms and basic video editing tools
• Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with student-athletes and staff
