The Digital Media & Content (DMC) Intern will draw on their knowledge of social networks and online marketing to assist in growing and maximizing awareness of the Columbus Blue Jacketsโ digital platforms. The individual will contribute to a variety of functions related to the management and maintenance of Blue Jackets digital platforms, including ideation and publishing on immerging platforms such as TikTok, content tagging and analysis, and live event content capture and coverage.
Duties and tasks:
Assist in planning and producing compelling and creative content for BlueJackets.com and club social media platforms: Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, web, and app.
Assist in the execution and planning of content coverage for Blue Jackets events, including, but not limited to, graphics concepting, photography, videography, and copywriting.
Assist in coordinating and executing digital campaigns and partnership activations.
Assist in the reporting and analysis of content performance for internal and external stakeholders.
Stay up to date on digital trends and best practices.
Develop and maintain an excellent working relationship with various Columbus Blue Jackets departments.

Identify how digital media and content creates value to help reach business goals.
Recognize how to leverage storytelling within a digital media and content strategy.
Intern Benefits:
15-20 hours per week, consisting of weekday in-office hours, home games, and occasional evening, weekend, or holiday hours as required.

Requirements:
Must be enrolled in college. Sophomore or above preferred.
Marketing, journalism, communications or other digital-related major strongly preferred.
Experience in Adobe Creative Suite.
Working knowledge of the National Hockey League (NHL), specifically the Columbus Blue Jackets preferred.
Must be currently active in and knowledgeable about social media.
Must have excellent copywriting and editing skills.
Must have excellent oral, written, and interpersonal skills.
Must be self-motivated and have strong organizational and time management skills
Must have the ability to work in fast-paced, collaborative environment.
