Corporate Sponsorship Activation Intern
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Dallas Mavericks are looking for qualified applicants to experience a professional work environment by assisting the Corporate Sponsorship department with a variety of independent and group projects.
LENGTH OF INTERNSHIP:
- October 6, 2025 – April 30, 2026. (Duration may change because of performance and/or business needs)
- Mandatory In-Person Internship Development Session. (Once a month)
- Must be able to work up to 29 hours per week (3-4 days/wk.), which may include nights and weekends as needed.
JOB FUNCTION:
- Assist the corporate sponsorship team in coordinating and executing sponsor-related retail and community promotions and programs.
- Support corporate sponsorship teams with all game day tasks and activations.
- Help with set-up, storage, distribution and collection of point-of-purchase materials and sorting of mail/entries for sponsor promotions.
- Assist in working with other internal departments (Creative Services, Public Relations, and Customer Relations) on various projects.
- Fulfill prizes to various contest winners.
- Manage and track inventory of sponsor collateral material.
- Assemble/gather/purchase props for in-game promotions.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Must be proficient Microsoft, Windows, Excel, Word, Outlook
- Ability to prioritize workload, manage multiple projects at once, and take initiative
- Strong interpersonal skills: ability to work closely with other employees, vendors, fans and customers.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Must be a current college Sophomore, Junior, or Senior Majoring in Sports Marketing/Management, Business/Marketing, or Advertising
