Food Forest Internship:
Join the La Crosse Area Family YMCA for an enriching Food Forest Internship! This internship is tailored to individuals passionate about being outside in the garden, nutrition, and community outreach. Under the guidance of our Food Forest Coordinator, you'll engage in a dynamic curriculum designed to develop competencies in the ecosystem of a Food Forest, nutrition, food access, and youth engagement.
Internship Curriculum: Food Forest Ecosystem, Nutrition and Community Outreach Concentration.
Throughout the internship, you'll embark on a journey of learning and hands-on experience covering various aspects of our Food Forest and Community Outreach initiatives.
Regular evaluations and reflections will track your progress, helping you identify areas for growth and showcasing your achievements in culminating projects and presentations.
Requirements
- Pass a mandatory background check.
- Passion for community
- Capable of standing, walking, sitting, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Flexibility in performing various physical tasks is essential.
