Position Summary: 

The Live Production Intern will have exposure to several areas across the department, including content loading, control room positions, video editing, script planning, content brainstorming, and more. This role will interact with a number of departments and colleagues of all levels. The ideal candidate has a passion for live production and is excited to learn about creating unforgettable fan experiences from concept to execution. In-game support is required in addition to general office hours.

Duties & Responsibilities: 

  • Load and test content at Climate Pledge Arena for display on in-venue LEDs
  • Control Room Support on game nights, stepping in as needed at a variety of positions
  • Participate in brainstorming and planning sessions leading up to game nights
  • Work on video editing projects as assigned, such as creating in-game highlights or feature cutdowns
  • Assist with the preparation and distribution of pre-game paperwork and emails
  • Provide assistance and support to the team with other initiatives and programs as needed

What You Will Learn:

  • How an in-venue control room operates before and during Game Nights
  • An overview of all control room positions supporting a live event at Climate Pledge Arena
  • Insights into how we plan and execute our show script, from the initial idea conception to the final execution
  • What it’s like to work in a fast-paced, highly visible professional sports environment

Qualifications:

  • Must be a recent college grad or a student currently enrolled in junior & senior-level courses
  • Basic understanding of live production in a control room environment
  • Self-starter with the ability to be creative within a structured environment
  • Organized, detail-oriented, resourceful, and quick learner
  • Must be a strong communicator and cross-organizational collaborator
  • Willing to work during and outside regular business hours, with a varying weekly schedule
  • Available to work +/- 25 hours per week

Compensation & Perks:

  • In accordance with Washington’s Equal Pay and Opportunity Act, the pay range for the position is $21-$22/hr. Actual base pay will depend on the employee’s experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.

Working Conditions:

  • This role is based on-site in our Seattle office and at Climate Pledge Arena. Requires work to be performed in person. However, we do value flexibility as the business will allow, and offer occasional opportunities to work from home.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule inclusive of weekends, nights and holidays required
  • Frequent bending, lifting 15-20 pounds, sitting, exposure to multiple external elements, extensive walking through the building including inclines and stairs.
  • Must have transportation to and from events.
