Marketing Intern
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Dallas Mavericks is seeking a collaborative Marketing Intern to work alongside the Mavs Off-Court marketing director. Projects will range from assisting in developing brand awareness and revenue for the Mavs Academy and CSR/Mavs Take ACTION! programs, to recapping marketing performance for select campaigns.
LENGTH OF INTERNSHIP:
- October 6, 2025 – April 30, 2026 (duration may change because of performance and/or business needs)
- Mandatory In-Person Internship Development Session (Once a month)
- Must be able to work 29 hours per week (3-4 day/wk.), which may include nights and weekends as needed.
JOB FUNCTION:
- Assist the Mavs Off-Court marketing director with research and execution of select Mavs Off-Court projects.
- Strengthen and understand the power of collaboration by working cross-functionally with several internal teams to achieve individual and team success.
- Manage and maintain open communication with college program contacts, teams, and your Dallas Mavericks leads.
- Gain insights into your potential career path by working in the field of your choice.
- Build relationships with professionals in your chosen field through networking opportunities during your internship.
- Identify individuals who can guide you through your internship and expose you to future opportunities.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively with various departments within the company.
- Strong ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Must be currently enrolled in a junior or 4-year college with a preferred concentration in Sports Marketing/Management, Business/Marketing, Communications, or Advertising.
