Ticket Sales Intern
 
POSITION SUMMARY: The Dallas Mavericks are seeking motivated, outgoing, and dedicated candidates to become an integral part of our Ticket Sales and Service team. You will be a vital part of assisting the Mavericks Ticket Sales & Service team in a variety of tasks โ€“ including sales support, event planning & implementation, and performing customer service initiatives. You will also spend time with our sales team to get real world training and experience in completing a sales cycle from the initial touch point through closing the sale.
 
LENGTH OF INTERNSHIP:
  • October 6, 2025 โ€“ April 30, 2026. (Duration may change because of performance and/or business needs.)
  • Mandatory In-Person Internship Development Session. (Every Monday morning.)
  • Must be able to work 29 hours per week (3-4 days/wk.), which may include nights and weekends as needed and working games.
 
JOB FUNCTION:
  • Assist sales & service staff in planning outside events for season ticket members, group clients, and prospects.
  • Support planning and coordinating efforts for game day experiences in advance of the 2025 โ€“2026 season.
  • Help generate and organize new leads as requested by sales management.
  • Assist sales & service department with day-to-day tasks and requests.
  • Help strengthen existing relationships at events for existing clients (seasons ticket members, premium clients, group and suite buyers, etc.)
  • Help develop new relationships at in-person sales events for new season ticket members.
  • Provide excellent customer service to all prospects, clients, and fans throughout the arena, and any other Mavericks events.
  • Contribute positively to the sales team culture.
  • Perform additional office duties and special projects as assigned.
 
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.,).
  • Positive attitude and willingness to assist others.
  • Highly motivated with a strong work ethic.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a diverse, fast-paced environment.
  • Enthusiastic and energetic personality.
  • Professional demeanor and ability to engage with diverse co-workers and clients.
  • Possess strong time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks.
 
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Must be a current college Sophomore, Junior, or Senior with a preferred concentration in Sports Marketing/Management, Business/Marketing, or Advertising.
    If applying for college credit you must be able to provide proof that credit will be earned toward your course of study (from school/registrar).
