3STEP Sports LLC is a proud partner of Under Armour and the UA Next event series. With more than 25 premier events reaching over 5,000 elite prospects, UA Next is considered the top grassroots football event series in the country. Over its 18-year history, the UA Next All-America Game has produced many of football’s best collegiate and professional players. More than 400 alumni of the UA Next platform have been selected in the NFL Draft, including over 100 first-round picks. Four players—including most recently Jayden Daniels (2023) and Travis Hunter (2024)—have won the Heisman Trophy.
Job Description
The 3STEP Football Internship is a five-month (January-May) paid position based out of Woburn, MA. The Football Operations Intern will work under the guidance of 3STEP’s Director of Operations to assist with event planning and player communication.
The goal of the internship is to provide a fully immersive experience in all aspects of our football events and operations while creating a pathway toward a successful career in the sports industry. Top-performing interns have gone on to full-time roles with college and professional teams in operations, coaching, and scouting.
3STEP Football also oversees ESPN Recruiting Rankings (ESPN 300 and Jr. 300) and UCReport, the No. 1 recruiting service in college football, utilized by more than 100 Division I programs.
In-Office Duties Include:
Assisting in planning and organizing weekend football camps nationwide
Managing pre-event logistics such as scheduling, venue coordination, staffing, and equipment/apparel preparation
Handling email communication with players and parents before and after events (customer service)
Social media support

On-Site Event Duties Include:
Traveling to one weekend event per month (primarily Saturday/Sunday) to support operations, including player check-in, site management, and customer service
Desired Qualifications & Characteristics:
Current undergraduate student or recent graduate pursuing a degree in Sport Management, Business, Marketing, or a related field
Prior experience as a Graduate Assistant or Student Manager in college athletics is a plus
Strong aspirations to be a leader in the sports industry
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, demanding environment
Interest in event operations or sports management
Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
Strong multitasking ability
Self-starter who can work independently and as part of a team
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Prior event management experience is a plus
Exceptional customer service skills
Ability to work extended hours and travel to major markets across the country
