Position: Athlete Safety Compliance Intern
Location: Remote or USA Water Polo Headquarters โ Irvine, CA (as determined)
Term: Summer 2025
Compensation: Unpaid; must be eligible to receive academic credit through a college/university
Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Athlete Safety Compliance Intern. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the field of athletic compliance, working directly with our compliance team to ensure that all aspects of our programs and activities adhere to relevant rules, regulations, and standards. This is an unpaid internship and to participate you must be enrolled in an accredited college/university and able to receive course credit for your participation. This is also a position requiring individuals to exercise confidentiality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development and implementation of compliance policies and procedures.
- Monitor and track eligibility requirements for athletes and coaches.
- Support in the preparation of compliance reports and documentation.
- Collaborate with various departments to ensure compliance with organizational policies.
- Participate in compliance education and training initiatives.
- Conduct research on compliance issues and provide recommendations to ensure adherence.
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a relevant college undergraduate or graduate program.
- Strong interest in sports administration, compliance, or a related field.
- Excellent research, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficient in Google and Microsoft Office Suites.
