JOB SUMMARY:

Do you have a passion for broadcast production and sports? Well, hereโ€™s your chance to join a great company! The Utah Jazz and Utah Mammoth are looking for hard-working Broadcast Production Interns to join an amazing creative team. Broadcast Interns get the rare opportunity to see the inner workings of NBA & NHL broadcasting. Youโ€™ll get to aid the company in production within the broadcast and more. Interns may be asked to transcribe interviews, video editing, digital asset management, live broadcast tasks, and to help with video shoots. Interns will also be a key part of making sure television and radio broadcasts are capturing a key audience via social media.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist producers and managers with daily tasks.
  • Learn video editing skills & asset management.
  • Aid in all areas of production.
  • Provide general administration assistance and support.
  • Work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Work with the SEG Media content team, utilizing social media teams to promote the broadcasts, but also providing them with content.
  • Exemplify the SEG mission and values: transparent, all in, community obsessed, one team, and scrappy.
  • Operate with an emphasis on safety for employees, teams, and guests.
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Undergraduate Junior, Senior, or recent graduate studying, Communications, English, Journalism, or a related field.
  • Interest in NBA and/or NHL is preferred.
  • Ability to work nights, weekends & holidays.
  • Previous internship experience is preferred.
  • Editing demo reel is required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • This person must be able to communicate and express themselves both written and verbally.
  • This person must be able to observe, inspect, estimate, and assess.
  • This person must be able to sit, stand, bend, walk, and climb stairs for long periods of time.
  • This person must be able to lift 20 lbs.
