Job Summary // Responsibilities

  • Assist with the day-to-day operations of the Bills communications department.
  • Assist with the management, production and distribution of training camp credentials and parking passes for both local and national media.
  • Set-up for press conferences.
  • Record and distribute press conference recordings.
  • Coordinate player and coach post-practice interviews.
  • Assist in updating the teamโ€™s media guide, including producing player biographies and editing materials.
  • Generate feature/human-interest story ideas.
  • Work with our media on-site to assist in their coverage of practice.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Education // Experience & Skills Requirements

  • Pursuing a degree in communications, public relations or a related field.
  • Prior experience in sports communications, including internships in PR, athletic communications or journalism.
  • In-depth knowledge of professional football and sports media.
  • The ideal candidate should have great people skills and have outstanding leadership abilities.
  • Qualified candidates must be creative thinkers, self-motivated and have great organization skills.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, multi-task, and prioritize duties while maintain a positive attitude.
  • Individuals must be able to work without supervision on complex assignments, all while meeting established deadlines.
  • Individuals must possess excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Qualified candidates must thrive in a team-first atmosphere and should be able to openly communicate while providing intelligent feedback and opinions constructively.
  • Individuals should be effective problem solvers and feel comfortable utilizing available resources to resolve issues.
  • Should have a good working knowledge of the following Microsoft Office and Adobe (InDesign/Photoshop) products.
  • Candidate must be able to work up to 40-hours per week; including evenings, weekends and holidays as scheduled.
  • Candidate must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for long periods of time.

Seasonal Term Lengths

July through August 2025 (Training Camp at St. John Fisher University)

 

The payrate for this position is $15.50/hour.
