Video Content Intern
USA Hockey’s National Team Development Program and USA Hockey Arena seeks a Video Content Intern to join our Communications Department. The intern hired for the position will need strong critical thinking skills in order to integrate into our team.
Responsibilities may include:
• Shoot and edit video content for social media and broadcast applications.
• Assist with game-day videoboard & broadcast production including set-up, in-game operation and tear-down.
• Capture content around the arena during NTDP games and other special events for use on broadcast, videoboards and social media.
• Work with marketing and communications team to develop creative ideas for social media content.
• Detail oriented with the ability to multitask
• Ability to communicate and maintain a professional demeanor
Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
• College student or recent graduate majoring in video production, broadcast, communications or sports management desired
• Familiarity with hockey preferred (not required)
• Working knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop)
• Familiarity with camera operations (beyond a smart phone), audio equipment and video editing
• Ability to set-up lighting and cameras for interviews
This is an unpaid internship with varied hours, but must be willing to work weekends and holidays. May be used for college credit. Must be local to Plymouth, MI.
