Job description:  

Inter Miami CF is seeking a tech-savvy, detail-oriented Broadcast Production Intern to join our production and engineering team. This internship is ideal for students or recent graduates who are passionate about live production, broadcast operations, and sports media technology. 

The intern will gain hands-on experience with the technical operations behind live sports broadcasts, including camera control, signal routing, audio/video workflows, and live troubleshooting. You will contribute to live events at both Chase Stadium in Fort Lauderdale and the new,  facility at Miami Freedom Park in Miami. This is a unique opportunity to work across two professional venues and learn from experienced broadcast professionals in a fast-paced, real-world environment. This position will be a seasonal part-time paid internship.

Job Responsibilities: 

Live Broadcast Support 

  • Assist with setup, testing, and execution of live press conferences and remote broadcasts.
  • Monitor stream quality, audio levels, and camera framing during live productions.
  • Support studio show operations including pre-show tech checks and live switching.

Technical Operations 

  • Operate Grass Valley camera systems under supervision (CCU, iris control, framing).
  • Support transitions and cuts with Ross Carbonite switchers.
  • Monitor and log video/audio feeds using Evertz systems.
  • Record and archive live content for compliance and post-production.

Control Room & Engineering Support 

  • Shadow and assist key control room roles (TD, Audio, Graphics, Playback) .
  • Help configure and troubleshoot signal paths, routers, and device I/Os.
  • Maintain organized rack rooms, patch panels, and labeled cabling.

Production Coordination 

  • Maintain production logs, rundowns, and technical setup notes. 
  • Ingest and label media assets for live and on-demand use.
  • Coordinate effectively with producers, engineers, and on-air talent.

Requirements

 

  • Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a program in Broadcast Journalism, Media Production, Communications, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Basic understanding of video/audio signal flow and production terminology.
  • Familiarity with live production tools and workflows is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfortable working evenings, weekends, and game days as needed.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure during live events.
  • Spanish language skills and/or experience with Adobe Creative Cloud is a plus.
  •  Must have own means of transportation.

Additional information
